Ok, so after watching the first Q&A and the official gameplay trailer and finally getting that 100% story completion in SoM there were a couple of questions and concerns that I have about the upcoming SoW game.
1. How will the new Frost element work into the game?
Is it going to be strictly something we see done by beasts and weapons of our enemies? Ala, the poison of the first game? Or will we have the ability to use frost abilities ourself, like we could fire?xa0
2. Does the Caragor exploit still exist?
In the first game it was very easy to level up your enemy/allied orcs by making sure that they had the Monster Slayer ability and were near a caragor meat trap/ caragor cage. You shoot the trap or cage and then make sure that the orc gets into combat and kills the caragor. It automatically would get a level up, and by doing this three of four times you can easily get high level runes without much trouble. It felt very gamey and I was wondering if this still exists in SoW?
3.xa0Game Balancexa0felt off in SoM, is SoW better balanced?
Certain abilities, combined with certain classes were completely broken in SoM, having a Deadly, Poison Hunter with Humiliate or No Chance as a foe were not so much a challenge as they were a constant nuisance. Wraith Blast against any Orc without a shield could be used to infinitely combo them for a tiny ammount of damage and eventually kill them as long as you had the patience for it, even if they were immune to everything else. I know sometimes that balance should take a backseat to fun but there were some very punishing and exploitable mechanics in the original game that took away from it being challenging.
4.The progression of time, and a lack of orcs.
In the original game unless you were going around a dieing a lot, there never seemed to be enough orcs in the nemesis system, it became very easy to just wipe out captain after captain, and seeing 50-90% of the board as dead bodies or heads on spikes was fun at first but eventually grew tiresome to the point of me intentionally killing myself to fill the board with more orcs. Also unless you died or purposefully progressed time, missions never seemed to happen, so you could just leave your army in limbo, go do a bunch of tasks, grab a half dozen collectables, and then still show up in time to stop an execution. Will this be the same or different in SoW?
5.When can we expect to see another gameplay trailer?
Because I'm sure everyone would like to know.
Thank you if you take the time to answer any of these questions pertaining to the upcoming SoW game.
