As far as I'm aware and from the information we have that not how it is going to work.

Can't count how many times I laughed during that video. Crusty never fails to make my day. 😂

I sure hope that's not the case.  You have to be careful with these Youtubers, remember they are there for entertainment first and foremost, not so much for accuracy in reporting game mechanics/design/etc.    Interesting to see Zog return, not sure how to read that.

Zog returned once for me, but I've heard others say he returned for them as many as four or five times.

Maybe this was the first return of Zog for ol' Crusty.

I believe I had him return once or twice in-between that first Mission after his initial introduction in the game and the last where you or one of your allies kills him.   Beyond that he never re-appeared, for me anyway.   I think he had 'permanent' Iron Will too, not sure of that though, it was a long time ago when I was playing story missions.    No idea where 'Crusty' is in his game play, and if he hasn't finsihed the Zog missions that may explain why he showed up.     Or as you said, perhaps he showed up for other players well after they've beaten the game, I don't know.

I wouldn't mind to loose all regions and see a lot of new orcs and ologs with new traits

In some respects I don't mind either.  Considering the rebalancing of Classes/Adv Classes, new abilities, changes to Undead, ability to recruit via Online ranked Sieges/Vendettas, max level up to 80 now, etc it will be in many respects a new game in terms of Captain strengths and who to target/select for recruitment.   .    With the Berzerker 'twirl' attack being slowed in terms of frequency, and Defender shields being easier to overcome, if everything else stays the same for them as it exists now, they will be further nerfed.   But as long as there exists the potential of 'uber' strong Captains, as the developer was alluding to in 2nd last stream, that'll be fine by me.   But I'd like to decide who to keep and who to toss when it comes to Forts, based on the new rebalancing that's coming.  I don't want the game to take that decision away by nerfing all standing Warchiefs/Overlords (as indicated by that Youtuber's statment).   I do not believe though this will happen.  It has never been mentioned in any of the Streams, and it would be a whopper of a change with predicable outrage from the SoW community were it to occur.

Before SoW was released I originally thought that little by little the assault forces in Shadow Wars would become too much for the player and we would eventually be pushed until all we had was Minas Morgul after completing Stage 10.  That way Talion would still be blocking that entrance/exit of Mordor but Sauron would have the rest of them and an invading force ready to swarm Middle-earth.  I was a bit disappointed when I learned this wasn't the case.

I thought maybe grunts would become more dangerous over time and the Warchiefs would have more Captains acting as Bodyguards every time an assault failed.  Like Bodyguards each, and then 7, 8, 9 until the player simply couldn't handle the zerging.  And it'd be the same if we tried to retake the fortress.

I understand this might mean some of a players favorite followers in a region can die and it'd be random which ones do or don't survive.  But that's part of the excitement of the game.  And of course there can be some missions to rescue the survivors.

This still sounds like a great idea to me but also quite excessive.

Only one dead ranger against the endless armies of Sauron, inside Mordor, it makes totally sense.
