Something has to be done about batmans parry + slide

    I forgot to add i can counter everything else in his kit pretty much but its these two specials that i just cant rap my head around if a batman player relies on these 2 moved im just f-ed

    TBH these do not need to be changed. The parry is meant to block all melee attacks, even scarecrows hooks. WW has her shield and Crow has his gas and teleport to punish. As for the slide it is able to be interrupted if predicted right, though very hard, but this is offset by its extreme punishability on both block and whiff. I play as batman mainly and have done mirrors before, it just takes some awareness and getting used to.

    as for his parry the only thing you can do is grab or hit him with a projectile even with a characer with mid ish range will be stunned like wonder womans back 2-3 even the far reach will still be parryed its really annoying because thats all that people need to do wich imo is no fun and very rage induceing


    What...? His parry does not get jumping overheads, mids, or any low attacks at all. Use a low or a jump attack. Batman is punishable this way. There is nothing wrong with his parry.

     

    Also, his slide is literally -30 on block. You can use almost any attack and punish him. Overheads are the most effective, but you can punish with literally anything except anything with a startup over 30 frames...

    are you sure...because every time he slides expecally on wake-up the invincibility frames is to long were you cant hit him out of the animation,IE: any character with a low or a attack that hits the ground,seeing WW's lasso phase through him or seeing starfires B1 low kick phase through him is just no and needs to be adjusted.

    as for his parry it shouldnt parry a hit that has longer then point blank range,i understand if it parrys a point blank punch or sword slash but if theres a small gap inbetween me and him it shouldnt toss that stun bomb or what ever you get hit with


    Never had this issue. His slide is easy to punish. You get all the time in the world to punish it.

    it dosent matter if its punishable or not its the fact that its invincibility frame time is way to long why block it and take small block damage when you should just be able to initiate a combo off of it and take 0 damage in the fist place, seeing my attacks hit the character but dose nothing is just triggering like your fist or sword or lasso or anything phaseing thorugh him and eather hitting the ground or hitting space behind him

    That's probably either your timing or Wonder Woman. I've never had this issue, and I don't think Batman has invincibility frames, because this has never happened to me before.

    Why? Because the block damage you take from slide is negligable (I believe it's about less than 2%), and because he needs 37 frames when blocked (or 51 frames when missed) to recover you can get a full combo punish when you block it which could range from 30% to over 50% depending on your meter and character.

    If you don't like the fact that it has invincibility frames as a wakeup move, then you're not complaining about Batman's special moves but about invincibility frames on wakeup moves in general which isn'ta Batman-only thing.

    About the parry: As pointed out and you should concede, any low and jumping overhead can get it, so saying only grabs or projectiles counter it just demonstrates that you should learn more.

    Before implying something is broken, first just ask around how other people learned to counter it. You'll easily get better with that attitude.

    I don't think he should be able to parry a meter burn back 3 or forward 3, nor should any character with a parry. Just my opinion though.
