Nah, dude, Talion's gone forever. Eltariel is most likely to be the next main character with the way BOG ended.

As much as I hate to admit, he's right buddy, if you finished the Shadow Wars, the narrative clearly states that Talion gives in to the Isildur's ring of power and joins the Nine with the Witch King as one of Sauron's men and dies after Sauron ring of power is destroyed so there is no way he is coming back unless some random necromancer pulls some strings which in this case I would doubt because Eltariel holds the ring of power now, I may not like her as much as the next person but she still qualifies and hopefully gets over the "I will not dominate orcs" crap she pulled in BoG and we will get a solid third installment to this amazing franchise.

Arghh. I hate it tbh, if anything have a new character come in. Honestly like the whole Blade of feminism stuff in the dlc was lore breaking, and many people not just myself hate her guts. You can check the comments section of Youtube on how people feel. Just saying it's a bad sign when you don't wanna play the character that you are playing as, and if that is the case sorry guys, I myself am not interested in sjw propaganda or being forced on a character the majority of people dislike.

My other problem is that she doesn't dominate orcs, and she is sorta a hypocrite uses the ring, and doesn't use it's power? Honestly the entire point of the game for me atleast is dominating orcs, and being a badass. I also want to add besides that creating relationships with them she doesn't do eaither, and the point of the game is that you take that away thats the game right there ya know?

I'll be honest, I'm okay with a sequel where Eltariel is the protagonist.
Firstly, addressing the Domination point: Eltariel already put her faith in Celebrimbor once, when she took the new ring and they failed to dominate Sauron. So knowing she betrayed her own beliefs and failed will probably prevent her from wanting to use those powers again. This could be addressed in game with some kind of reputation based system. There could be 3 main Categories of Orcs: The Outlaw Tribe, Bright Lord's followers and deserters.
Low health orcs could still be grabbed and a simple button press could put you into an interaction menu (similar to when you dominate an orc). The option to interrogate could have Eltariel peer into their mind in a similar fashion, before executing them with her sword. The option to attempt to recruit an orc could be present for Deserter orcs and, based on story mode progression, members of the Outlaw tribe. Dependent on your reputation, you can have a higher or lower chance of recruiting orcs. While you're unable to recruit Celebrimbor's followers, they may desert him, either through growing respect of your forces or due to being unsatisfied with their role in his army. Your interactions with these orcs could also affect them. For example, repeatedly defeating them and allowing them to live may result in a drastic increase of power on their part, from Celebrimbor, or it may result in them being cast out of his army. They may join you out of spite of Celebrimbor, or they may also go their own way.
Additionally, you could be sought out by captains, but instead of ambushing you, they offer to join your cause. The random chance of these scenarios would make free roam interactions more varied and interesting.

As for Eltariel as a character, she was quite conflicted. While she did represent some of the major flaws of her race, such as arrogance and inability to even consider any approach other than her own, she also grew to question her own methods and respect others. I believe there was a genuine friendship between herself and Talion, though the two never trusted each other. At the very least, there was a measure of respect. Talion's fall also seemed to genuinely shake her, so her story could both further her growth as a character and act as a redemption tale for her race as a whole.

Actually yes, and for someone who "Sees all" is very ignorant to what the community has to say. Firstly I've spoken to Youtubers, as well as fans of the series. The Blade of Eltariel dlc was treated very negatively, because it doesn't use the fundamental parts of the game. Secondly the lore breaking two female Nazguls? JRR Tolkien said 9 Kings of men, and never meationed female Nazguls. I want to add it's not having females that is the problem it's having forceful unlikable characters, such as Eltariel. The thing is if you choose to completely discard people's opinions, and criticisms then you are going to have very angry fans. Might I add again i'm NOT against female characters i'm against bad characters thank you.

The original Ring-owners were men. The 2 sisters took the Rings from them.

And if I'm not mistaken, the Ring-poem also says that there's 3 Rings for the Elven KINGS under the sky, and yet Galadriel has one of the Elven Rings.

The sequel should continue where SoW ended:

Eltariel as protagonist and playable character

Talion as a new super cool Nazgul with unique crown and mask :smileywink:

    Celebrimbor unmerged from Sauron

Humans, Elves and Dwarves join the war

I suppose, but remember 3 elf lords did get the rings. First is high elf king Gil Galad. After he died, he entrusted Vilya, his ring, to Elrond. Gil Galad also gave Narya to Cirdan. Galadriel didnt actually ask for one of the rings, but one was given to her by ya boy Celebrimbor, but she kept Nenya. However, for the nine rings of men, it clearly states "for mortal MEN doomed to die".

Well considering most people hate Eltariel, and are not really fond of her that would be a bad decision. I do agree with you with the Talion idea, also Talion coming back to destroy Celebrimbor would be a much better story cause the two do have a strong history.

    Wrong
Considering that most people love Eltariel and she stays in Mordor to keep hunting the Nazgul, it's the best way to go. She should be the protagonist in the sequel and use the new ring to dominate, this opens lots of new possibilities.

    Celebrimbor escapes Barad Dur.

Talion as a new cool Nazgul.

Sauron's armies growing stronger and prepared to go to war outside Mordor.

Let me be clear on something and I'm not point fingers at any one individual but there has been far too much thiny veiled sexism and racism hidden as lore arguments surrounding this game and some of the choices made by Monolith and especially pertaining to Eltariel and Baranor. I've never allowed that sort of thing to happen on here as it has on places that are more of a free-for-all and I'm not about to start now, so I am going to shut down anything that even looks like that kind of thing without thinking twice.

I don't care how valid anyone thinks it is, I see it, I stop it.

To cut this off before it goes anywhere can we go back to the issue at hand and leave anything else at the door.

Firstly I’d like to point out, if Eltariel would have made better decions, and not contradict herself I would have liked her WAY MORE. She is a very ambivalent character, and she has cool powers like the light of Galadriel, she also has treamedeous power now with the new ring. However NOT using the ring of power not dominating orcs, is the fundamental part of the game taking that out is taking out the game itself. I don’t care if she is a she, or he doesn’t matter what matters is the fundamental part of the game, and that is the “Nemesis system”.

The “Nemesis system” is the key of the game, and the reason why it succeeded. My main issue is that in the Blade of Eltariel dlc, along side with Desolation of mordor the nemesis system isn't put to use. This is the main part of the game, and a crucial one at that. Next I want to see more of that expanded even further. The thing is it would be great if you could have Eltariel do that, and if so would make it better. Better yet why not even have a choice in characters? Like between wraith Talion, or Eltariel sorta like new assassins creed where you can choose male, or female character, or even Borderlands. Except having different powers, abilities, dialogue, and armor sets even have the orcs all react different to whom the player is playing as. Those would be great choices for the game, and the main issues I have with Eltariel are these. First she left Talion for dead, and ultimatetly betraying him thats messed up. Secondly she takes Celebrimbor's/Talion's ring the very second Celebrimbor offers it to her, after the entire time she lectures you, about how the rings corrupt and enslave the wearer. Thirdly she has Celebrimbor's/Talion ring of power, and doesn't use it's power to dominate, yet happily takes the ring that kinda doesn't make sense. This leaves me to my last statment why couldn't she just give that ring to Talion so he wouldn't become a full Nazgul? Instead of watching him slowly subcumb to the ring's influence. Celebrimbor's/Talion's ring didn't enslave it's user so why didn't she just give it to him? She didn't need the ring before let alone now so why. I like her, but i kinda wish, she could dominate.

The main subject of this is primarily sequel ideas if Monolith were to make a sequel, it is not a guarantee that she would be the main character, she has the ring as far as the story goes but it could end up in different hands or something else might occur that could change her point of view, the nemesis system could even be made to include uruk/ologs. But that's if they choose to make a third title. I just hope that it (if one is made) is just as good as the two games before it and more. The franchise has made a spotlight of being on the better to best Lord of the Rings games to most fans.

    Good point Dorkle,

many things can happen, like Talion as a new cool unique Nazgul and Celebrimbor escapes from Barad Dur. Eltariel has the new ring, and she answers to Galadriel, member of the White Council, that could lead to a very interesting story.

it seems the nemesys sistem already includes uruks and ologs

anyway, I'd love to have a third game as sequel and see how this story continues, Celebrimbor and Sauron are still inside Mordor...

Yes. That is pretty awesome I like that, also Sauron isn't really dead. He is just in the void along side his master Morgoth. There is an end times event in the books where there is supposed to be the last battle to end all battle's. Morgoth is supposed to return, and make his last attempt to take Middle earth.

I think that the next game should be a completely customizable main character you can create from several different races with Eltariel as the player's guide through Mordor to fight Celebrimbor, the new Dark Lord. If you could create your own character, it would also allow for a more expansive multiplayer due to everyone not being limited to one character. With this aspect being in the game, they could simply add DLC where you could play as specific characters.

If you take the time to actually think about it. Sequels are not the path they would likely take. In fact they set it up more for prequels.

    xa0

Back story onxa0Celebrimbor. He lived in the 2nd age and died in that age. Were the game it's self takes place near the end of the 3rd age roughly 3000 years later.

Celebrimbor died after the sacking ofxa0Eregion, where he was captured,xa0torture then killed by beingxa0shot with arrows and hung upon a pole,xa0only to have his lifeless bodyxa0paraded as a banner as Sauron attacked the elves.

    xa0

Keep in mind,xa0Celebrimborxa0died early in the war of "War of the Elves and Sauron"xa0

    xa0

So many of the memory missions of which you played would have been memories of him co-sharing another's body as a wraith same as he did withxa0Talion.

Also remember back in the first gamexa0
Shadow of Mordor, thexa0Black Hand of Sauron commented that the murder of Talion and his family was infact intended to draw outxa0Celebrimbor so they could enslave him. So they knewxa0Celebrimbor was drawn to those who died in such a manor.xa0

So where does this all lead and where could we see a new game. It would be a
prequels of one of many ofxa0Celebrimbor's other mergings with others. With over 3,000 years they could easily have 20+ other incidents.

    After all,
Celebrimbor did say Talion's plan to stop Sauron would only fail as if he was talking out of experience.

In the games, Celebrimbor was beaten to death by Dayton, using the former's own Forge hammer. I don't think he was shot with arrows.

Also, in the Shadows of the Past missions, that's not Celebrimbor's wraith possessing someone else's body. That's Celebrimbor's own body.

In the game that is what they showed. But in the books, he died being shot full of arrows. After being tortured to reviel the location of the lesser rings (Wraith Rings).

Easy way to explain the memory missions. How could he have his wraith powers unless he was already a wraith. Plus to Celebrimbor, he would precieve it as his body on the outside.

FYI, we all could be learning soon if we get another game.

Monolith is hiring game designers and they want them to work on the Nemesis system used only in the Shadow of Mordor/War games.
