Oh there certainly are, just some examples....

    • Cleave a orc (cut him in half) and he may return as The Machine
    • Burn an orc to death and he may become The Flame of War
    • Behead an olog captain and he may become The Stitch
    • Let one of your followers dies and he may come back as The Forsaken

Some of those will be simple changes of names but some will bump a captain up to epic or legendary (if they weren't before) and there are many more then those four. You can also get some cosmetic changes and wounds when cheat death occurs which can range from poison bloating and burnt skin to hook hands and peg legs and many others as well.

Very Cool. I can't wait to start experimenting. Thanks so much for responding.

Idk if you've ever heard of him, but there's a guy on YouTube called "Uruk's Hollow". He has several videos on how to get certain types of scars.

... I've heard rumors that sometimes an orc comes back stronger, anyone care to elaborate?

    Thank You.

They can come back stronger, as most who 'Cheat Death', if they were not maxed already, return at a higher level.      When they do gain levels there is a chance they will also gain strength and/or lose/reduce their weaknesses, as that mechanic comes into play.  That being said, I do not know if that gain strengths and/or lose/reduce severity of weaknesses mechanic is still in play in the current version for those fall into the above category (gain level(s) when Cheat Death).    There's an issue many are reporting, that Followers (any < lvl 60)  no longer gain any strengths or lose/reduce severity of weaknesses when levelling up since installing the July patch (v.1.23.0.0 for Xbox One).   Once at lvl 60, most if not all Captains no longer gain strengths and/or lose/reduce severity of weaknesses (other then a few generic enragements not tied to levelling up).

Just to clarify:  Once at lvl 60 and on their way to 80, most if not all Captains no longer gain strengths and/or lose/reduce their severity to weaknesses other then a few generic enragements not tied to levelling up.
