Focus and Wrath Gain from Wraith Chain kills

If I'm doing the math correctly, you wouldn't be in a NEAR endless "wraith spree", but an ENDLESS one. The Mystic weapons consume 40% less focus (a normal wraith chain attack consumes 50; 40% less of 50 is 30).

So if you equip the Bright Lord's Cloak And Rune, you would literally never be able to stop chaining attacks.

    It's working as intended.

i say near endless due to an eventual lack if enemies.

That beign said that is why i understand it doesnt gain during the chain

What i DO NOT get is why i only get credit for ONE kill of a chain for focus recovery...whereas everythign else works perfectly fine.

There is an Epic bow that gives 40 focus per ranged hit. I don't have it to test but I'd be interested to know if this bow works differently for Wraith Chain kills.

Same reason the drain healing boosts don't work with consume, or shadow strike dominate. Since you could infinitely abuse them with the Vendetta set.

You actually used to be able to do that.

Hence why they changed it. I still use the armour and rune with my main build, though. Lets me spam raise dead and eleven light and really boosts my damage output. The dagger's great for some insane setup stealth damage, with an additional 33% crit modifier, too.

I'm not familiar with that perk, do you mean 15 focus/hit?     Maybe you confused the # with the 40 health/hit perk.   The 15 focus/hit can be achieved on any bow/hammer by using the reroll perk, it's a 2ary trait and not specific to any named-bow or hammer.

There's also a ring that gives 15 focus per kill, I think it's also a secondary bonus.

Plus, appearently the sword of dominion can have this bonus as well because it uses ring secondaries. Question is whether the "per kill" applies to all kills or just sword kills then.

I'd assume all melee kills, at the very least, since ground executions don't procc dagger gem effects. Same with mounting an olog and stabbing. If you don't have a specific build focus in mind, the Sword of Dominion is really great, for the fact that it's secondary ability is taken from a ring skill. I wonder if you get the same bonus on a ring and the sword, does it stack? Like faster dominate, more healing from drains or more ally defence/damage? Or focus/Might gain?

The Epic bow is called Mindmender and it gives '40 Focus Recovery per Ranged Attack Hit'. It is listed on JK3's equipment list: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1189084093

Ah I see, tks.  Keep in mind this user admits to using cheats, and some of these items he lists may have been those no player can achieve legitimately, but instead are 'uncovered' by using cheats.   Not saying that's how he got them, but a number of items he lists I have never seen or heard of before, and I have nearly 2000 hours into the game (Xbox One).

I should stop mentioning it then. I don't think I've ever seen a post in regards to the item and I don't have it either.

To be fair, a lot of posts overlook Almsgiver, too. And I've got that hammer. I'm an XBOne player and I never use cheats of any kind. The closest to that is the free mods on FO4, and that's more for the player created questlines and atmospheric mods. Plus, who doesn't love replacing the death slowmo and music with the 'mmm watcha say' meme?

I never commented on ststs stacking either way, perhaps you meant to direct this comment to someone else?

Regarding items, I was specfically referring to the bow named 'Mindmender', the one that gives you 40 focus per ranged hit.   When looking through that posted list of Ranged weapons form that link, there was 'Pinchfist' and 'Silvanstalkerr' I had never heard of or seen before.    I have Almsgiver though, not sure if a previous poster' comment was directed at me on that one.   The fact the author states he used cheats + Youtube vids I've seen which show players using items 'found' and re-activated via applying cheats in the game (e.g the devs disabled certain items from being in play) makes me question some items on his list.    Perhaps they are legit, but there's enough out there for me to question this anyway.

    Good rng? Luck?

I accidentally destroyed my Paineater, which I've only found one of in my entire playthrough. So I need to hope I get another one, or I'll just have to make do with the Sword of Vengeance.

I got one after 2 or 3 days of doing Death Threat/Vendetta missions against Epic Captains. I believe the type of weapon you use and type of Captain you fight against has a small effect on the item you receive so keep killing with the sword. I also went into Wrath mode to Execute whenever possible but have no clue if it made a difference.

Just wanted to update this post that the Mindmender hammer (40 focus on hit) exists as evidenced in this post:

I'll don't see how it *couldn't* exist merely because hasn't seen it before. Not trying to sound rude. Just saying.

I never said the Mindmender (and the others mentioned) didn't exist.  I merely stated being skeptical based on the facts that the author mentioned he was using cheats. it is known that there are 'hidden' inventory items in the game that are only found by the use of cheat engines, that I had seen videos of people wielding such 'hidden' items after finding them by the use of cheat engines and that I have never come across such a weapon after close to 1800 hours of game play.   .

btw - the cheat engine used is specific to PC (e.g. SoW running in Steam)..  I'm on Xbox One, and I do not believe there is any cheat engine(s) that's enabled/available for Consoles (PS4 incl).
