These two are not my threads but:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/shadowofmordor/comments/8nherm/bringing_back_the_hierarchy/

Also, I think a game in the second age - correct me if I'm wrong (basically during the shadow of the past missions) - could work but it may be harder to expand the game a lot, since it will be all Orc vs Orc where I think logical steps may be to include more races!

Also, replaying the game I think that the next game may have a prominent role for Shelob - is she not in a way, the deceiver? Purposefully splitting up Talion and Celebrimbor, it occured to me, she may not have cared who won, The Bright Lord, The Dark Lord? So long as anyone who still stands after their folly struggle is weakened.

Seriously though, I really want a rogue-like orgue game (one of the threads from reddit) and I think something briefly after the movies (thus full-on chaos in the ranks of the orcs, as their leadership is dissolved) may work very well.

Yes we need to see different races and different regions. Maybe even consider ditching the Nemesis system and focus on making a great story.

As far as Shelob’s concerned, I wouldn’t necessarily call her a deceiver, when Talion and Celebrimbor forged the new ring it was almost set in stone that they would separate eventually. Celebrimbor poured too much of his life force into the ring, causing him to loose part of who he once was. Near the end he and Talion had very different ideologies.

Personally though I don’t think Shelob should really even have been in this game, she is portrayed as being much more powerful than she truly is canonically. In the books she cannot take on different forms. She is a spider,
a beast......that’s it. She is the spawn of Ungoliant, but certainly not some powerful deity that was Sauron’s lover for a time. Canonically she plays a very small and insignificant role as a sort of guardian of Mordor, killing all who try to pass through her lair in Cirith Ungol.

Sauron has such a great and interesting story that a game based around him wouldn’t need the nemesis system. If that is combined with a new open world comparable to say The Witcher 3, it could work well. Also the abilities he could possess in game would be nearly limitless. Sauron is far more powerful than he is portrayed to be in Shadow of War. up until the fall of Numenor he could take on almost any form he wished, i.e. Werewolf, Serpent, Vampire, Annatar, Necromancer, Dark Lord.
He still has limitations of course, he can’t fight the Valar for example.

Whether it be Middle Earth based of something else the one thing Monolith should do is continue to improve and innovate the nemesis system.

    An idea just struck me.

If the game is indeed about Sauron you could definitely keep the nemesis system. Maybe this time though it’s Humans, Elves, and Dwarves in the nemesis system. And being Sauron, you have to bend as many of them to your will as possible so they can sow chaos within their own people. Men of course would be the easiest to corrupt and would have the most weaknesses. But Dwarves and Elves would be more of a challenge.

I honestly don't know many people that would even mention Sauron as a good villain. He's kind of not boring but I dno just over looked. He's not even my favourite elf villain. As long as the game involves a lot of really cool looking orcs that you can put into your army and train then i'll play a game. I would love the garrison to carry over as well.

In these 2 games we experience the darkness a lot, I mean,we are inside Mordor and our army is of orcs and other beasts we even have Nazgul gear.

You're right, we need to see new regions and elves and dwarves, etc, but not as prequel, and definitely not as Sauron, we would be overpowered, there is no way to defeat him, our enemies would destroy the one ring over and over again? even before , in the second age, before the one ring, Sauron can't be defeated.

I love the idea of giving Sauron more importance and focus more on him and his story and more presence in the new adventure.

A sequel is the best idea, maybe they add a new cool powerful enemy, like The Black Hand, The Hammer, The Tower, or even Nazgul Talion with an unique crown and armor.

Celebrimbor is not merged with Sauron anymore, The Witch King or Nazgul Talion can lead Mordor's armies in war, and the new adventure can take place outside Mordor too. Epic.

I want to see dwarf and elf armies. Ideally the dwarves would be filthy.
