Hit them until they betray you then kill them yourself.

What do you mean they won't die? In online assaults? Are you doing ranked ones?

If you want to kill all your orcs you can always just fit pight (pit fight) them against each other.

There is a skill to pop off their heads too.

I've had a few dudes die during a ranked conquest, but when I returned to my world, they were alive and well. And no, they weren't undead, either.

    Not that I'm complaining, though.😁

Are you sure you didn't disconnect or something?

Hmm that is strange that your orcs return to you in online conquest once they die, sadly mine do not. An efficient and time saving way I have found to clean out a bunch of orcs I don't want is to send them to my garrison and destroy them for gear from there.

I've had 2 'die' in ranked Sieges since the patch.  One by my own guy (in a fit of rage, lol) and another by an enemy.   The one killed by my own guy was alive and well post Siege (phew), the other guy who was decaptiated by a Tank's Defender shield was not.    None of them had bleed-outs either, both 'instant' kills.   There was no 'Cheat Death' pre-amble for the one who died but in fact was still alive post-Assault, but I had assumed he returned due to Cheat Death (not the first time this has happened).

If you want your guy dead just send to Garrisson and grind him up.  If you want him Dead so you can resurrect him as an Undead, keep on Sieging and hope he gets biten by spider/dies or at point 4 or 5 send all your guys away BUT the ones you want Dead so he'll likely be killed by the enemy Captains.

choose a ranked siege with high defense rating, then when the followers start to bleed leave them

there is a skill to call the bodyguard and explode his head or den them to online pit fight or against each other,

cal them as bodyguard and kill them yourself

I'm assuming he wants them dead in order to raise as Undead - does popping the heads of a Follower leave them decaptiated or otherwise not able to raise as Undead?  I've never tried that.   And if you try to kill the guy yourself (called as BG, kill during Online Siege, during Nemesis Mission, etc) you will force him into a Betrayal in which case you won't be able to raise him from the Dead.   Is there a way around this?

Yea I've played maxed out rank on online siege mode for like 15 hours since update.

they'll die in battle but still be alive when I come back.

The only way I can think of effectivily committing genocide against my orcs would be recall them to garrison and kill them there.

Also pit fighting is off due to them being too strong for that even.
Also I would love undead orcs but nothing will die. Ever

I'm wondering if I raise the difficulty up higher than normal mode if they'll die that way. 🤔

The update was intended to make it so that you dont lose your orcs in your main game when they die in online play.

If you use the skill "destroy followers" to pop your followers heads, they CAN NOT BE RAISED from the dead, it counts as a decapitation.

If you want an efficient way to wipe the board clean of your followers and dont care to revive them as undead, you can set all of your orcs as warchief bodyguards then initiate a siege defense and run to your victory points, popping all of their heads like cherries. Yes, you'll lose the fort and your warchiefs, but you'll have a clean board and gain a crap ton of xp from retaking the fort. Alternatively, if you dont want to off your warchiefs but just wipe the board clean, you can send up to three followers at a time into a kill/ambush nemesis mission and pop their heads, clearing the board in minutes that way as well. If you absolutely must have them as undead, a slower method to kill off your orcs is to send them into a nemesis mission against someone they'll likely lose against, and pin them in place every now and then with a leg shot if they start winning the fight, the pray that the opposing orc doesnt cinematic decapitate your follower when he kills them. I've always found undead to be annoying personally. I'd rather the occasional betrayal than have to constantly listen to gutteral grunts. Cant stand "deranged" or "maniac" orcs who lose the ability to speak either. Just kill them off.

I don't think that is correct,.   I've never heard this before, in fact I've heard the opposite via Livestreams - e.g this mechanic of having the possibility of losing Followers in Online ranked Assaults will continue.    I had one of my Followers killed in a ranked Assault and he remained dead at the end of it (and remains dead).    The frequency of those killed in any manner and then Cheating Death has increased, but they can still die (and remain dead) in ranked Sieges (or any other 'non-friendly' environment of death).

Tks for confirming the pop-head death Followers can't be resurrected.     One of my forts will eventually be setup with all Unbreakables (7 non-dead Unbreakables as Overlord/Warchiefs and the rest Undead BG's) .   Will be a long time in building to get that many quality Undead guys (have specific ones in mind), but will be interesting to see how it in the end.

Thank you for the popping head idea. I'll do that ultimately.
That'll be my best option since my orcs will not die in battle.

I've seen the same orcs die countless times but there still alive back in my own world.
undead orcs will probably be unheard of at lvl80 due to orcs being immortal basically.

    Maybe it's a glitch.

atleast now I feel comfortable using my necromancers in battle.

If it's misinformation I apologize. I'm not positive on it, I was just commenting on something I had read elsewhere. My prior post was supposed to say "the update was supposedly* intended to make it so that you dont lose your orcs in your main game if they die online". However that may only apply to siege defenses that you arent a part of. I think people were complaining about logging on to play to discover other players had killed all their warchiefs and overlord during a siege so they made it that when players lay siege to your fortresses it doesnt affect them in your main game like it used to. I'm not sure if they did anything to spare orcs you take with you on the offensive.

The head popping function has to be one of my favorite carryovers from Shadow of Mordor. Only I miss the fact that you could summon your warchiefs and they'd come to you with all of their bodyguards. My favorite way to clear a board and mass farm runes was to dominate every orc on the map, raise them all to max level, put them all as bodyguards on one warchief (you could do that in SOM) and then call them in one mass meeting. My entire army shows up for the meeting, thinking it's all gravy, then pop pop pop pop pop pop pop pop all at once. Funniest **bleep** thing I've ever seen. God I miss those days.
