Shadow of Mordor Nemesis Forge FAQ

Shadow of Mordor Nemesis Forge FAQ

Nemesis Forge is a new update for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor that will allow both new and existing players to bring their top Nemesis and Follower from Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor to Middle-earth: Shadow of War when it releases on October 10, 2017. In Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, players created countless personal stories of revenge through the unique enemies and allies generated by the Nemesis System. With the Nemesis Forge, these stories continue in Middle-earth: Shadow of War by importing a returning player’s arch Nemesis from the first game, while also identifying a player’s most loyal Orc follower, who can help fight and defend against Sauron’s forces. The Nemesis Forge menu is now available for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam.

Nemesis Forge available only with purchase of Middle-earth™: Shadow of Mordor™ and Middle-earth™: Shadow of War™ on Microsoft Xbox One, Sony PlayStation®4 or PC and subject at all times to the applicable Terms of Service. Nemesis Forge is not available on Mac or Linux operating systems. Nemesis Forge is not available in Japan.

Cross Platform Support – Will Nemesis Forge work across different versions and platforms?

No. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor GOTY have different save formats that cannot be interchanged between each other; but Middle-earth: Shadow of War will be able to import your arch-Nemesis and most loyal Follower from either version of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor on the same platform.

Nemesis Forge data can only be imported from the same platform. For example: XBox One to Xbox One, PS4 to PS4 and Steam to Steam. Nemesis Forge data cannot be imported between the Steam version and the UWP app.
